The following photos show some more Biloxi recovery as seen early in
2009. Throughout the Coast's premiere vacation city, you can see a
tremendous amount of work has been completed since Katrina, But there is
more, much more than needs to be done. But the best part is that the
Biloxi beach area no longer looks like a disaster occurred yesterday.

Businesses are returning to the Biloxi Beachfront such as this
Hooter's Restauant. More are coming. |

The new Biloxi Bay Bridge connects Biloxi to Ocean Springs on U.S. 90.
It is bringing traffic to the area. |

Edgewater Mall along U.S. 90 in Biloxi is fully opened. |

This new Day 6 motel opened in January '09. It is among a growing
number of smaller hotels that are coming back. |

This is the former Gators souvenir store on the Beach in Biloxi. It is
nearing restoration as of Jan. '09 |

This is the new Surf Style beachfront store in Biloxi. It replaced a
similar store that was destroyed by Katrina. |

This is the Grand Casino in Biloxi as of Jan. '09. Note the newly
rebuilt U.S.90 roadway. |

All along U.S. 90, the beach highway, in Biloxi new homes are
replacing those destroyed by Katrina. |

This is the new concrete boardwalk under construction along the beach.
It replaces the wooden version Katrina ruined. |

The Sea Breeze condos complete construction after Katrina on the Beach
in Biloxi near the Treasure Bay Casino. |

This is one of three new gas stations that have rebuilt since Katrina
in Biloxi. All were destroyed by Katrina. |

Contractors finished nearly a two year rebuild of the entire U.S. 90
from Biloxi to Pass Christian in Jan. '09. |
