Gulfport Resident Selling
Katrina DVD

Another Must Have for Katrina Collectors

Review by Keith Burton - GCN    Filed 4/14/06

By now many people have compiled videos and photos of the Hurricane Katrina disaster, but here's one DVD you may not have seen, it's "Hurricane Katrina the Updated Version" that was prepared by a long- time Coast resident that is worth purchasing for your Katrina collection.

David White, a Gulfport Orange Grove resident put the DVD together and it is certainly one you should get if you are a collector of this type of memorabilia. The DVD is both easy to navigate and is rich in images that capture both the storm and its results. The DVD is especially thorough regarding photos of Biloxi and Gulfport. The DVD has 107 Minutes of video and hundreds of photos that display in a very smooth fashion, which is unlike some of the choppy work done by others.

There are also behind-the-scenes photos that other Katrina DVD's do not have, such as over 800 high resolution photos from space and low flying aircraft and along the beaches from Bay St. Louis & Waveland to Biloxi. The devastation is here for you to see firsthand.

White decided to create the DVD after the hurricane as part of a way to build a small business and provide a valuable and useful way to show the impact of Katrina on the Coast.

Navigating through the images on the DVD is easy with a clear menu screen. An original score backs-up the imagery and changes as the images are displayed. The music may not be to everyone's taste. It's not bad, but sometimes it can get in the way of what you are seeing. Just turn it down, the images are breathtaking in their scope and there will be a lot on this DVD you haven't seen.

White is selling the DVD from his website at for only $14.95 and shipping is free.
