Talk about a lucky break for some Army National Guard Troops from Kentucky that were visiting the Coast Tuesday. They had just gone to the beach near Sharkheads Gift Shop in Biloxi when they came upon the official dancers for the Saints football team, the Saintsations dance team who were also on the Coast for a calendar photo shoot.

"We saw them getting out and we just went up and asked," said a beaming Lieutenant Walter Leaumont. "It's a pretty good send-off, quite wonderful."

The girls were happy to poise with the soldiers who decided to visit the beaches during a break in training at Camp Shelby near Hattiesburg. All the men are on their way to Kendahar, Afghanistan.

The Saintsations are on the Coast for a four-day photo shoot. The entire troop of dancers are here, some 37 of them, plus the photographers and coordinators.

Leslie Fitzmorris, president of American All-Star, Inc. said the Saintsations usually go to Florida for their calendar photo events, but this year chose the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Fitzmorris is coordinating the event.

"We decided to go someplace different, there are variety of looks here on the Coast for the calendar, the old south charm along with all the new stuff. We thought it would be a win-win situation," Fitzmorris said.

The Saintsations 2006 Swimsuit Calendar will be out in time for the official kickoff of the Saints Football season.
