The weather was perfect and the stars were shining even in the daylight. That is, the stars of cars from Cruisin' the Coast. The result was thousand of spectators lined U.S. 90 in Biloxi and Gulfport to watch the parade of custom cars participating in the Cruisin' the Coast Saturday.

More like a Mardi Gras on wheels, fans lined the beach highway in lawn chairs and on the tailgates of pickup trucks to see the parade of cars. Cruisers also showed off their cars at the Gulfport Dragway. So if you think these cars are only for show, their big custom-built engines have serious muscle.

At the Isle of Capri Casino, legendary custom car builder Boyd Coddington was on hand to turn over the keys to his latest creation. The Isle of Capri sponsored the building of the car, a custom woodie, that Coddington had created. Certainly a high point for this year's Cruisin' the Coast.

The following is just a sample of what the event was like Saturday. Cruisin's the Coast ends today.
