Boomtown Guest Wins $1 Million in Penn National Gaming's Second Season

From:  News Release   5/13/15   GCN

One lucky guest of Boomtown Casino in Biloxi is a millionaire after the sophomore season of Penn National Gaming’s Marquee Millionaire® slot tournament series. Angela R. of Vancleave, MS, took home the grand prize after winning the finale championship event, which ran from April 30 to May 3 this year.

Between October and April, Penn Properties, including Hollywood Casino, Hollywood Gaming, Argosy Casino, Boomtown Casino, Casino Rama, Zia Park Casino Hotel & Racetrack and the M Resort Spa & Casino, hosted qualifying events for slot players to win cash prizes and a seat in the million-dollar final event. Two hundred winners, Angela among them, traveled to Las Vegas for the VIP treatment at the M Resort Spa & Casino.

“I’m so overwhelmed. This week has been a dream,” said Angela, who hopes to open a day care center with her winnings. “With this money I’ve so far been able to complete payments on my home and help out my parents and siblings. It’s more than anyone could ask for.”

“This is Penn's second consecutive Gulf Coast Marquee Millionaire winner,” explained Jeffrey Zaffron, VP of Marketing at Hollywood Casino Gulf Coast & Boomtown Casino Biloxi. “Best wishes to Angela and her family on winning this exciting Marquee Signature Event."

Penn's Marquee Signature Event series caters to both slot and poker players with the Marquee Millionaire Slot Tournament and the Hollywood Poker Open. These signature events are one facet of Marquee Rewards, the multi-tiered loyalty-card program available at nearly 20 gaming facilities. As you play and earn tier points and Marquee Comps®, you can use them at any participating property, including the M Resort Spa & Casino.

Qualifying tournament formats will vary depending on location and are open to Marquee Rewards cardholders at participating Penn properties. To obtain a Marquee Rewards or other loyalty card in time for next year’s action, visit Player Services at any participating property; no purchase is necessary. Cardholders can receive rewards and benefits for playing at Penn properties nationwide.
