Cold Weather Shelters to Open

The weather Outlook for Harrison County over the next several day are projecting our LOW Temperatures to be at freezing or below, with northwest winds

.

Thursday, Jan. 12: Thursday day upper 50’s northwest wind 5-20 mph Thursday night upper 20’s-33 northwest winds 5-15 mph.

 

Friday, Jan 13: Friday day lower 50’s northwest winds 5-15 mph Friday night lower 20’s –upper 20’s.

 

Saturday, Jan 14: Saturday day lower 50’s Saturday night upper 20’s-33

 

The following Cold Weather Shelter will be opened in Harrison County for those persons needing to PROTECT THEMSELVES FROM THE COLD EXTREMES:

 

Gulfport-Salvation Army 2019 22nd Street, Gulfport, MS

D’Iberville-Harrison County Multi Purpose Building 10395 Auto Mall Parkway, D’Iberville, MS

 

Shelter doors will open daily at 4:30 PM and Close at 8:00 AM.

 

Coast Transit Authority will provide transport to those in need on the FIXED ROUTES.

 

This is your time to PREPARE FOR THE COLD WEATHER REMEMBER TO THE P’s : PEOPLE, PIPES,PETS and PLANTS.
