Governor Barbour to Host Housing Foreclosure Summit

Governor Haley Barbour will host the Mississippi Foreclosure Summit on Tuesday, June 10, 2008, from 9 a.m. - Noon in the Auditorium at the Department of Education (359 North West Street) in Jackson. Governor Barbour will open the summit at 9 a.m.

The summit will feature speakers who will cover the state, regional and national issues related to foreclosures and foreclosure prevention. Speakers include: Gary Beasley, Regional Economist, Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation; Bill Sones, Chairman of the Board, Mississippi Bankers Association, Mississippi Home Corporation and Bank of Brookhaven; and Donna Gambrell, Director U.S. Department of the Treasury Community Development Financial Institutions Fund.
