Sand Bags Available in Jackson County for Self-Fill/Carry

With a potential tropical development bringing an expected 6-20” of rainfall between today and Tuesday morning, the Jackson County Board of Supervisors have issued a Proclamation of Existence of Local Emergency. Sand and sand bags will be available, TODAY, MAY 25, 2018, BEGINNING AT 11 a.m., at the following locations in Jackson County for residents in low-lying areas. This is a self-fill and carry service so residents will need to bring their own shovels.


In addition, residents are asked to please remove any debris from ditches to help prevent unnecessary flooding.
