JC Supervisor John McKay will present the 2012 State of the County on
Jan. 25
From: News Release 1/21/12 GCN Jackson County Board of Supervisors President John
McKay will give the official “2012 State of the County” address on
Wednesday, January 25th at the Pascagoula Rotary Club. “My address has four areas of focus; county finances, budgeted projects for 2012, economic development, and accomplishments of 2011,” says McKay. “I also plan to highlight some of the outstanding work our employees do for us on a regular basis.” Following a long standing tradition with the Pascagoula Rotary Club, this will be the first presentation of the State of the County in 2012. “The first major responsibility of the Board President is to prepare the annual State of the County address. I’m honored to present this address and share my vision of the County as we start this New Year,” McKay said. The State of the County speech will be posted on the County’s website, www.co.jackson.ms.us, following the presentation. Supervisor McKay, who represents District 5, was elected president of the Board at the Jan. 3, 2012 meeting by his fellow supervisors. District 3 Supervisor Mike Mangum was elected vice-president during the same meeting. |
