Shipley Named General Manager at Isle of Capri

BILOXI, Miss.—
Isle of Capri Casino recently announced that Doug Shipley has been
appointed vice
president & general manager of its Biloxi property.
Doug
returns to the Gulf Coast bringing more than 28 years of gaming experience
to the role. His leadership and expertise will be an asset to the Biloxi
property as the Company continues to work towards completion of a master
plan for the property.
Most
recently, Doug held the position of corporate vice president of racino
operations at the isle casino & racing in Pompano Beach, Fla. He
began his gaming career as an accounting manager opening Bally’s first
casino, Park Place, in Atlantic City, New Jersey in 1979. He then moved
west to Lake Tahoe and Las Vegas with Caesars and Ameristar corporate
offices where he held a variety of roles.
His career
path brought Doug to Mississippi first in 1994 working with Grand Casinos,
Inc. to develop Grand Casino Biloxi, as well as Grand Casino Gulfport
among other Mississippi projects. In 2003, he was appointed president and
CEO of Cascade Entertainment Group, a California-based Native American
casino development and management company. He also served as corporate
vice president of gaming with New York-based Delaware North Companies.
