JC Board of Supervisors Accepting Bids, until March 20, on Old Swingster Property in Ocean Springs

On February 6, the Jackson County Supervisors found that the property located at 1515 Government Street in Ocean Springs, also known as the “old Swingster property”, has ceased to be useful for county purposes and authorized the advertising of bids and notice of intention to sell.

Seagled bids will be accepted until 1 p.m. on Monday, March 20, 2017. They will be opened and read publically at 1:15 p.m. on March 20 in the meeting room of the Jackson County Board of Supervisors, 2915 Canty Street, Pascagoula, MS 39567.

Property Details and Features:

· Approximately 2.1 acre property with no current structure

· 332 feet of street frontage in heart of downtown Ocean Springs

· $1 Million is minimum acceptable bid

· Zoned C-2 Commercial

· No specifications for future development

· Must abide by Ocean Springs’ building and zoning regulations
