Biloxi Moving Forward on Palace Casino Permits Biloxi is moving ahead this week on building permits for the expansion of the Palace Casino on Point Cadet in east Biloxi, according to city spokesman Vincent Creel. Creel mentioned the permits during plans during this week's "City Desk," program, which is broadcast exclusively on GCN Radio. The Palace Casino plans a $45 million expansion and improvement program that will substantially increase the size and amenities at the the popular casino.
There will also be a new, 300 seat buffet and a new sports bar to entertain Palace Casino guests, as well as a 24 hour cafe. As part of the improvements, the Palace hotel will be upgraded, which will include a new front desk area. Additional amenities include a gift shop, a spa, a fitness center, a business center, and meeting facilities. The meeting space will help the Palace tap into convention opportunities. The Palace announced its expansion this past summer. The work is the largest major casino expansion project currently underway in the city. |
